Labor Union Representation

"History is a great teacher. Now everyone knows that the labor movement did not diminish the strength of the nation, but enlarged it. By raising the living standards of millions, labor miraculously created a market for industry and lifted the whole nation to undreamed of levels of production. Those who attack labor forget these simple truths, but history remembers them.”

-Martin Luther King Jr.

For over 35 years, Allotta Farley Co., L.P.A. has fought for the rights of working men and women who belong to labor unions. We represent public sector unions in matters before the state employment relations boards and private sector unions in matters before the National Labor Relations Board.

Collective bargaining: we are ready to advise unions on legal issues and answer questions on issues that arise during negotiations. We also represent unions at the bargaining table and advocate for better terms and conditions of employment by representing public sector unions at interest arbitration hearings, such as fact finding and conciliation, at the end of the bargaining process.

Grievance arbitration: most collective bargaining agreements contain a grievance and arbitration process that allows for the adjustment of violations of the collective bargaining agreements. We assist unions with the investigation of contract violations and prepare the union’s case for arbitration of those grievances.

Our firm also represents unions and their members in other labor matters, including:

  • Unfair labor practice charges;
  • Enforcement of arbitration awards;
  • Picketing and strikes;
  • Individual employee hearings before civil service commissions and the Ohio State Personnel Board of Review
