Jonathan J. Winters

Education

Jon graduated from the University of Toledo with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Public Administration and Economics.  He went on to attend the University of Toledo College of Law where he received his Juris Doctor magna cum laude with a certificate of concentration in Labor and Employment law.  While in law school, Jon was a published member of the University of Toledo Law Review and served as a managing editor.

Work Experience

Before attending law school, Jon worked in various industrial settings where he was active in labor relations as a union steward and frontline supervisor.  While in law school Jon worked as a law clerk for Allotta | Farley Co., L.P.A., and after graduating accepted a position as an associate attorney with the Firm. In 2016, Jon was named as the Managing Partner of Allotta | Farley.

Jon has extensive experience negotiating for and representing public sector employees in the safety services and education.  In addition, Jon leads the collection litigation team at Allotta | Farley for its Taft-Hartley Fund clients.  Along with the firm’s other attorney’s, Jon also aids Taft-Hartley Funds in all other matters including, but not limited to, plan design, amendments, participant notices, ERISA compliance consultation, IRS compliance consultation IRS plan submission and qualification, DOL and IRS audit assistance, voluntary compliance submissions, and prohibited transaction issues.  As the Managing Partner of Allotta | Farley, Jon is also responsible for ensuring the day to day functioning of the office and ensuring Allotta | Farley is meeting its responsibilities to its clients.
