Education

Joe Allotta graduated from American University in 1969 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He majored in Government and Public Administration with a minor in Business. He was involved in numerous aspects of Student Government, and received many honors such as: Outstanding Fraternity Man; Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities; and the Omicron Delta Kappa, National Honor Society. In 1972 he received his Juris Doctor from Case Western Reserve University. During his second year he was an Associate Editor on the “Law Review”, he was an Articles Editor for the “Law Review” in his third year. He was also an Associate Editor on the “International Law Journal” during both his second and third years at Case Western Reserve University Law School.

Work Experience

From 1972 to 1974, Joe was a Law Clerk to The Honorable Don J. Young, Judge on the United States District Court, Northern District of Ohio. After 1974 until 1979, he was an associate at a law firm concentrating in employment law. On September 1, 1979, he founded Allotta | Farley Co., L.P.A. and he served as the President at Allotta | Farley Co., L.P.A. until January 2004.

  • Employee Benefits involving multiemployer and single employer Trust Funds including: Plan Design, Counseling Trustees, IRS Submissions and Qualifications of Plan Documents, Selection of Plan Advisors, Collection and Litigation.
  • Labor Relations, in both the private and public sector including: Contract Negotiations; Arbitrations; Representation campaigns, Litigation, Employment Discrimination, and Federal and State Administrative Law.
